Hi everyone, thank you for your research, this website has been an incredible boost to my collecting information for redump.org preservation project.

I have tasked myself with maintaining the Redump.org Miss List wiki for the last decade or so. Recently I took a closer look at CDi, as it is one of the lesser preserved retro systems. In this process I have noticed some patterns with Preproduction / Demonstration discs. I took a stab at defining the different CDi Preproduction Editions in a post on a blog I've recently started about CDi preservation.

Additionally, I've been attempting to build a complete-as-possible Preproduction / Demonstration list at the redump wiki here. Additionally, I try to include a link to a picture of the discs as proof. In doing this research, I have quickly assembled the page. If any of the scans are done by forum members and added to World of CDi entries, I will do my best to link to the World of CDi pages (rather than directly to the images), please forgive any transgressions as I'm quickly assembling a lot of information in my very little free time.

At redump we're using standardized methods to dump these discs, and in the process of "datting" them, we hope to collect additional information related to software revisions. This will help us figure out which discs Preproduction discs are pre-final builds. There is not a lot of active CDi dumping at redump, but I hope to help out here and there to help preserve retail as well as prefinal versions.
