Blazers posted on our Forum a topic related to the 172 titles from a Japanese Karaoke collection he owns…
When we added all of them, one by one, we noticed that but didn’t talk about…
The point is, with a number of 172 titles from a single collection (at least the known ones), it is extremely difficult to publish them in only 1 year. In fact, we can definitely say it is the longest collection of a single collection for the CD-i than goes from 1992 until 1999.
More impressive is the fact the layout is always the same. Same letter type, letter size, color, using the same template along 7 years. Even with a change in the Publisher and Producer during the lifetime, you can definitely confirm by yourself this. Just look at the first and last disc printed (at the top of this article).
Even if the CD-i didn’t succeed in Japan, far from it… Karaoke was and still is one of the most popular entertainment for the Japanese community. Formats like CD Graphics (CD+G), CD-i, Video-CD, all supported by the Philips CD-i system.
You can view all of the 172 titles, listed here.
